Perfectly in the Middle of everywhere
Nestled in between glowing Central California mountain ranges, national forests, wildlife refuges, and national monuments, Cuyama Valley is a place like no other.
Aside from the unmistakable natural beauty, the valley is home to a rich history, tight-knit community, bountiful yields, star filled night skies, and a timeless state of being.
Located in the heart of Central California's high desert, in between Santa Maria and Bakersfield, sitting in the middle of four counties; Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Kern, we pride ourselves on bringing people from all walks of life together to explore the wonders of The Hidden Valley of Enchantment and we look forward to welcoming you.
No matter where you’re coming from the drive (or flight) provides a sight to see. Whether it be on historic Route 166 or California Scenic Highway 33, the valley offers boundless untouched natural landscape, clear blue skies, and glowing sunsets. With a population of less than 1,500, Cuyama allows for time to slow down and connect to the surrounding nature and the friendly folks from near and far. Take time to explore our mountains, hike through historic cave paintings, plan a trip to see the superbloom in a National Monument, book a farm tour or wine tasting, or just relax and enjoy a meal with a view. Come and discover all that The Hidden Valley of Enchantment has to offer.
